~~Setahun sekali..Syawal datang lagi..hadir menemani..Salam-bersalaman..Kunjung-berkunjungan..Membina Ikatan..Kita bersaudara..Di bumi yang sama..Tiada........Perbezaan..dirasa..Setahun hanya Sekali..Dia datang dia pergi..Hari Raya..Hari Yang Mulia..Ooooo~~

For Raya celebration this year we're short of SyuAmir pair as they are celebrating 1st Syawal at Amir's hometown - Perak. Nevertheless, we still continue our tradition of Pagi Raya which is makan2..salam2 n gambar2..-that's our tradition..hahaha-

Selfie photoshoot usually will start with Fiqa as she is taking photos of herself all the time.. I mean really .all the time!!!..Then, the others will follow...

Baju for this year is turquoise (blue n green) theme. Mum n the youngsters may have plan it, but the elders child usually will buy whatever theme they want. Accidentally this year K.ana chose to follow the theme while Layha chose Leopard print n Irah chose 'angelic to be' dress...

After that we went to Kahang and Beraya with our relatives there.

Persiapan Raya, involve 4 stages:

1) Kuih Raya Process....
**Kuih Raya tahun nie termasuklah corn flakes, almond london, kuih kacang pea, semprit, kuih tart, kuih suji mentos, popiah simpul and the balance ialah kuih2 lain yg dibeli oleh k.ana n k.irah..

Popiah simpul is the 1st cookie to start off the momentum of making kuih raya. It looks like Syafiah is the one who's dedicated on this task but I doubt it. She is only help at the beginning but everyone know Syariah will be there till the end.

Kuih Kcang Pea - New idea from mum this year.

Almond London - Credit to Syafiqa

Something twisted/ unique for this year.. Kuih suji Mentos - Instead of typical normal suji few years before

Kuih Semprit - Credit to Isa who's helping mum personally for this task. We must have misplaced picture of Kuih Tart n Corn Flakes somewhre. Well..it will just be the same as previous year.

2) Ketupat Jawi & Ketupat Palas Process....

Ketupat Palas - Task for Abah n Fiqa for every year as they both are committed to tie and pull the Palas leaves while other will not bother if their work consider OK or not. If they didn't do it properly, the glutinous rice cooked may not last long.

Ketupat Jawi - Task for K.ana, Layha, Irah n Mum. Kaksyu will be part of this group of preparing Ketupat but since she is celebrating Raya at Perak this year we're short of helping hand. Fiqa started to learn how to make this casing, while Syari help to tighten the casing as a first stage of learning.

 3) Re-arranging & Cleaning the House....

Lead by Layha..Again..because Kaksyu is not around. If not she will be more detail and volunteering for this task.

 4) Makan Besar....

I believe the theme for this year Mkan Besar is western food. Eventhough the 'ayam BBQ' is not really menjadi because of a small fight, inexperience n negligence by the BBQ team, but the spaghetti is delicious n the squid tempura, the crab stick n others are awesome.
